This review is an overall experience review in comparison to campgrounds, in national and state campgrounds. Pros: * It's a campground in the middle of the bay area, which is a rare find. * The campground is reasonably well maintained. * Early part of the season, it was clean campground. * The trails were easily accessible. * Picking up the pass in the office, was relatively seamless w/o even a ranger. * Rangers do a sanity check regularly. Cons: * The restrooms are dismal given the locale of the campground. * The signs in a few of the campsites were inconsistent. * The lack of a wash place would have been nice.
Tent camping only. We wanted to be able to sleep in our bed in the bed we built in our minivan, but vehicle camping is prohibited.
Beautiful. Liked it very much.
