TownePlace Suites Cookeville

This was a spur of the moment, pull off the freeway, we need sleep stay! We didn’t have a reservation, but when we walked in, Sonya assured us that they had availability & we would have a place to stay for the night. She signed us up for their reward program and told us all of the perks that we would get the more that we stayed at Marriott. I’m a travel agent so these rewards are definitely going to be put to good use! Our room was perfect for our stay. It was so clean & roomy. It came with a kitchenette area, nice king size bed & a huge walk in shower. The bed was plush & we slept great. The only small “complaint” we had is the wall to the shower needs to be a tad longer to prevent water from getting on the floor. Breakfast was a good variety. We definitely loved the waffles! They also had cereal, yogurt, the normal juices & a variety of hot food. They have a fitness center & an outdoor pool. It was unfortunately too cold for us to swim this time. They are also pet friendly, so the next time we stay we will be bringing Harley. It is conveniently located off of the freeway, so there are gas stations, restaurants, and fast food nearby.

My experience was tormented by not having hot water. I called the front desk the first night and was told that a softball team just got back and maybe that's why I didn't have hot water. The next morning, still no hot water. That evening no hot water. On day 3 still no hot water. I spoke to the front desk and he indicated he could only offer me "1,000 bonvoy points". As a titanium member, I at least expect hot showers for my family of 3. It was a bad experience. 3 days and 2 nights, I took one cold shower. My daughter cried when she took a shower. Very bad experience.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Sheets, towels, and room were clean.

Room was ok. But apparently housekeeping doesn't sweep the floors in the bathroom when cleaning. Found 4 pills on the floor which looked to be Advil or similar. Not good when travelling with a pet. Decaffeinated coffee in the room only. Yes could go ask for more but shouldn't have to.

The rooms are kinda on the small size. Super nice thought. Closet is great. Bathroom is big size. Compared to the room. Breakfast is or really good, plenty of options. They also have options of flavored creamers which is a super plus. All of the people I have encountered are very very nice and accommodating.
