Customer Reviews
We were told about this campground by a neighbor and what a find! It is our go to, favorite place to be. All the people that work there are so nice. The beauty of this place will make you want to stay forever. When we leave, the question always is "so when are we coming back?" The town of Blairsville is close and the farmers market is something we like to do. We come in a RV, but the tent camping area is beautiful as well. We have never used a cabin, but right after Christmas we are going camping with a neighbor, and they will be in one of the cabins. There is a game room that is fun. They have a laundry room. All the facilities are very clean. If you go, make sure to go to the back porch and sit in one of the rocking chairs. Oh, they have a chapel and one of the local pastors comes to preach. My daughter loves horses, so she is often at the barn. As soon as we pull in, she wants to go see the horses. They have full hookups , with sewer. We love this place! It is so beautiful and peaceful!
My friends and I rented tent sites 48 and 49 for a weekend away. They are super close together so perfect for multiple people. We had such a great time at Trackrock. Each tent site has power, water, and a fire pit. Right next to us was the restroom which was great, showers were nice. There was also a pavilion with a charcoal grill and string lights that made it easy for us to make dinner. Everyone on the property was so polite and quiet (we were worried we were the loud ones lol)! We brought our two dogs who stayed on long lines and there were many other pups who got to enjoy the outdoors with their humans. We loved the pond, the stables, the overall care of the site. The WiFi was a plus — we were able to stream a playoff soccer game that we all didn’t want to miss. A quick drive into Blairsville or to a local winery. Overall an amazing stay.
I have mixed feelings. There are pro's and cons to staying here. The Pro's. The place is absolutely beautiful. It is well kept. The people are friendly. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are REALLY REALLY NICE! The price was also VERY reasonable. The mountain views from our site were to die for. They were absolutely spectacular. The cons: The noise from the vehicle traffic is a bit much for my taste. It was my first time staying in a campground this large (hence a lot of vehicles) and you never really got to enjoy peace and quiet til about the time the sun went down. I'm used to boondocking and smaller campgrounds. I also brought to the staffs attention about a shower bench that lacked a lot of integrity and was in serious need of repair. The lady I spoke to seemed to know about the problem and apparently had issues with getting her husband to fix it. This bench was certainly not worthy of being sat on and would surely break if someone who was too big sat on it and would get hurt. I expressed to the lady that I felt like it was a liability waiting to happen. Also, don't leave your firewood behind when you go on an excursion. It will grow legs and walk away even if you are still registered as a guest. I suspect another camper came and took it. I asked a man about it at checkout time to inquire if it was maybe removed by a staff member during clean up. He didn't seem to think so. I normally wouldn't have cared but I spent $45 on a Jack Daniels 1/2 wooden barrel expressly saved for cooking an outdoor steak and my wood, starter fluid, fire starter and plastic crate were all gone. I don't think the staff took it. I suspect another camper took it.
Trackrock Campground is the best kept secret. They offer something for everyone. The most beautiful views, there is plenty of space between RV.'s It was quiet, well maintained, within close distance to the Blairsville. This is family owned and operated, they all take great pride in this campground. You'll feel like family from the first contact. They made contact with us as we were late arriving, due to weather caused by the hurricane. I highly recommend this campground for your next adventure in the North Georgia Mountains. You won't be disappointed.
Been coming to this campground for a little over a year now. Not your regular camping where trailers are usually Lined up. Each site has trees all around, there is a lake for swimming, horse stables On site. Hayrides, hiking trails, clean bath houses, etc…ThenAlexander family are wonderful welcoming people and are the reason we continue to come Back. You will NOT be disappointed
