Our family camped here in September of 2019. This campground is privately owned and is a combination of seasonal and rental sites. We absolutely loved our campsite, and all agreed it has one of the best views of any campground we have ever stayed at. (Site #3). The camp store was awesome and had everything from camping supplies to ice cream. The employees were helpful and very nice. Overall, we greatly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. ***Just returned from trip #2. Even better, still site L3. Absolutely loved it. See pictures.***
Nice cabin (cherry) only downside was the mold. Unfortunately won’t be returning
First visit this past Memorial weekend in a cabin and even with horrible weather, we had a great time. The cabin was lovely with a refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. Really enjoyed the setup in the Cherry cabin and only complaint was the lighting issue. However, the staff was very friendly and we were given a lamp from the staff...perfect solution! The private beach was absolutely beautiful and we look forward to returning and actually using it! We will be returning, but still chose a “4”...I wish the bathroom and showers were more accessible to the cabins.
We have been staying here for many years and were sad to find some of the changes that have been made. All of shade trees have been removed from the cabin area (Cherry, Fern and Alder) so when its 90 plus every day there is NO shade. There used to be a PortaPotty out by the parking area for the 3 cabins which was fine but now there are 3 of them right next to the cabins bringing their smell and flies. There was food all over the ground when we arrived and we had to sweep our cabin. There were other campers in one of the cabins our first night and their dog was pooping all over and it was not being picked up. The paperwork stated that the garbage would be picked up nightly which it was not. The water supply for the cabins was nasty with old dish washing supplies there. The paperwork we received also said no bottles or dogs on the beach and we saw both.... I could go on. We love this place and so do our kids and now grandkids but I did not feel any owner presence. They used to stop by once in awhile. They would make sure all was well down at the beach... not sure about going back next year as there will be a huge new bar right next to what were 3 peaceful and quiet cabins. How can there be an enforced quiet time at 11pm when the bar probably doesn't close until 1? It was the best kept secret in the ADK until last fall.....
Ive never been but the reason I am rating this low is because I can't get a response from the owner or management to check prices. I'd like to take my family there but reserving a cabin has become impossible. Disappointed to say the least
