We love this campground!!!! The clear stream, natural beauty of the grass pastures and woods, and the super nice owners. The stars are amazing during the pitch black nights. A great Victoria Winery with a bar/restaurant is just a few miles away (we went 3 times), and Fredrickstown and Walmart are not too far either. We also hit a few antique stores. The owners are working hard to bring the place up to date and add new features, but it was clean and maintained fine for us. Everyone was so friendly and nice. They are adding a new water pump house, so the water pressure was low when we were there. But we just filled our fresh tank and used our water pump, and we were fine. We also noticed that the expandable hoses don't work great if the pressure is low. They are planning to add hot showers, but not a concern for us since we "Dude-wipe" or shower in the camper. DNR is requiring updated sewers at campgrounds across MO state, so the owners are working that too. We stayed at the far end in the CC Section after the second wet- bridge. Nice and open. But ground clearance was a challenge to get cross that 2nd small bridge and get up to the little hill to the pasture. We are experienced campers and with our 35' camper, so we just went slow and used some blocks under the wheels. They are planning to improve that too, but I would check when you reserve if you have a camper/RV greater than 30'. Otherwise, just stay in the first section. Make sure a staff member shows you were to park and your hook ups. We love this place and definitely plan to return. Blessings, Santa-Don and Laura, April 9, 2024
Beautiful water access on private property. Hidden gem if I'm honest. Not the deepest water but definitely has its spots. I recommend bringing a canopy and water chairs. There are bathrooms available with running water.
Very low water pressure 10 psi , not made for units over 35’ long. If you are longer and you go beware. Low branches, . Very nice host, very nice owners, very nice people. Just an old camp ground that has not been maintained properly and was designed for smaller campers days gone by. Trees way too close together around the sites.
We've been using this campground for several years now and each year it gets worse. This is a terrible campground. There's no hot water in the shower house. The camp site electricity hookups are in the trees. The sewer hookups do not have caps on them. Smells really bad. The camp sites are not marked clearly and one camper had to be moved about 6 feet after it was already set up. The rules of the campground change daily. Our family will not be returning.
The water is beautiful and its very kid friendly.....great place to get tge whole family out into nature
