What a beautiful quiet campground. We reserved the entire place for some friends and us. Even the pit toilet was clean, which is hard to say almost anywhere else. You get to hang out with lots of wildlife at night and stare at the Milky Way. You do get a few mosquitos due to swampy conditions close, but that's part of camping! There was a fire a while back, but the campground still has a ton of mature trees for hammocks and shade. Highly recommended.
There's 3 tent spots, used to be trail head parking here also. However there isn't now. People accessing the trail have to hold up a camping spot from people that want to camp just to park. Or you can block the dumpster and get towed.
Great site. Reserved the entire site but could not use site #1 as the ground did not work for tents. Site #2 and #3 were awesome though. Sadly much of the surrounding area was burned. The highlight truly was the Milky Way
Extremely beautiful but close to the road and burned area.
Great place.
