Travelers campground was so conveniently located off the highway, very well maintained and such a cool place to stay. I loved their wildlife preserve. It was so nice to enjoy a walk in the morning and see the donkeys, miniature horses, chickens, and even a cow that they have on the property. Staff was very nice and so easy to work with over the phone, they offer discounts for AAA account holders along with other discounted rates opportunities. Overall a very organized operation.
Great group of people. Had the best say I could have ever asked for. The staff was great and helpful in the office. The maintenance workers went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable in my site. Just an overall excellent experience. We hope to return soon.
What a great campground. Easy to get to sites,staff is great, Gail is a gem. We arrived at closing time but she was still in the office and the open sign was still in. Wow We were guided to our site by a very nice gentleman and he helped us park. The bath house is air conditioned and you don't get that in most high end resorts. The animals are cool also by the way.
We stayed overnight here but the sites are paved pull through with a small paved exit row between sites. Sites are fairly level. It's just a bit different how you pull through lower numbered sites on your way to your site. The people who were in the office and who guided us to our site were super friendly and nice. They even gave us a complimentary bottle of cold water when we checked in. They have some emus, donkeys, goats and rescue macaws. An interesting campground! There is a bit of interstate noise from I-75 since the campground is right along the interstate. With the AC running it kind of masked the traffic noise for the most part, so we just ran the fan all night which worked well for constant "white noise".
What a great place, our stop was for evacuating but it also seems like a great place for an extended stay. They have the overnight crowd down to a science, nice pull throughs, 7deep, 7rows, but enough space for everyone, flat clean and a little sanctuary to ease your stress
