Travelodge by Wyndham Salmon Arm

Good value for an affordable motel. Most other hotels, in this price range, are poorly maintained and smell terrible. This hotel is mostly well cared for aside from some minor cosmetic renovations underway/required. The room smelled fine and had been updated. The rooms was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well cleaned with no residue from past guests. Breakfast offered more than other hotels within this price range. The waffle mix tasted "off" and the staff was informed. Being close to the highway, access is easy but there is the constant whirr of traffic.

The stay was what you would expect for the price. Room was clean. Could hear the neighbors pretty clearly, as the walls must be thin. Bed was a little squeaky but comfy enough. Bathroom light switch was outside the bathroom, strange. Sink was outside the bathroom. Undecided if that's a plus or minus.. Place had a pool and a continental breakfast. Coffee and muffins. Do ya really need more? 👍 But ya, overall it didnt have an expensive hotel feel, but thats because the price is right. Would stay again.

Great stay. Of course a motel is simple, but room was nice and clean, renovated floors and counter. Continental Breakfast seating area was limited but had a full selection of breakfast items. Didn’t check out pool, was small though. On edge of town but not far. Good value for money.

Upon arrival there was no one attending the front desk, but a sign on the desk indicated that you could call using a phone outside the office. Once clerk arrived check in was smooth and for an additional fee a foldaway bed was provided. Once inside the room we had to request clean sheets as one bed had stains on the sheet and the other had a shoe print. In the bathroom the floors were not clean with hair found in the corners. We had to investigate why the bedside lamp was not working only to find the electrical outlet exposed and arced when we plugged the lamp in. One good thing was the beds were comfortable. We checked out early to get on the road so cannot comment on the breakfast. Again no one manning the front desk so thankfully due to having to use the outside phone the night before, called requesting to check out and were told to leave the room keys in the room. Overall not an experience I would expect from a “Travelodge by Wyndham”.

We inadvertently booked here. When we arrived at noon, we were told check-in time is at 3, but they may be willing to check us in at 2. When we told them we really wanted to be closer to Revelstoke and wanted to cancel, the gal at the desk said there was nothing she could do to help. We cancelled with Booking.com and were charged a $100 cancellation fee. This place is really a dump. Book here at your own risk.
