We stayed the weekend of Columbus Day. The city at that time celebrated October fast. But the place where we were staying was not crowded. There were definitely other couples but it was very nice and quiet. We enjoyed the serenity. Our cabin had everything we needed, and it was very adorable. We had a separate small bedroom and a mini living room with a kitchen. The kitchen had a stove to cook, a coffee machine, toaster, a kettle, utensils, fridge, cups, mugs, plates, and microwave. The bathroom had plenty of towels. We had a TV in the living room. The deck had two nice chairs to sit and relax and like 6 foldable chairs to bring to sit by the fireplace. We definitely had a wonderful time and recommended this place to stay for your recharge.

We stayed this past weekend. What I liked most was that it’s pet friendly, very quiet and not in the middle of town. Literally a 5 min drive. The cabin was all we needed and clean. It’s a little dated, and there was a musty smell upon arrival, but nothing open windows/door and a good pumpkin candle couldn’t fix. I wish the pool was open as we had beautiful 80’s weather, so that was my only disappointment, besides no lake views. We brought our dog and if she could complain, it would only be about the rock driveway. Otherwise she had a blast. The staff were great to us!

We stayed at the Watch Tower in mid-November to celebrate our one-year wedding anniversary and brought along our pup. We booked through Airbnb and had a lovely time overall! The tower was just the right size for two people and a dog. The bed and bedding were very comfortable, but the standout features were definitely the large, luxurious shower and the second-story wraparound deck—it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view. We appreciated that so many essentials were thoughtfully provided, including towels, bathrobes, slippers, soap, shampoo, conditioner, cookware, silverware, coffee makers, and a spacious fridge, among other amenities. The location is fantastic, being close to both Lake George and Bolton Landing. We enjoyed exploring both, although Lake George was understandably quieter at this time of year. Onsite, there’s firewood available for purchase, and typically a farm stand, although it was empty during our stay—likely due to the season. A highlight of our stay was meeting the famous chickens and goats onsite. One thing to note is that the Watch Tower is part of a "campground", and the properties are not as secluded as we initially expected based on the Airbnb listing. Other cabins are fully visible from each other, and car traffic in the middle of the night did disturb our first night’s sleep. Additionally, the couch on the main floor could be more comfortable—it’s a leather couch, and the cushions tend to slide off. Lastly, the metal spiral staircase may be challenging for dogs that aren’t fond of stairs (our pup is special and we kind of expected this). Just a general heads up to our pup-parents. Despite these minor drawbacks, we truly enjoyed our time at the Watch Tower and plan to return in the future to try out their other accommodations!

Booked our cabin through AirBnB, we stayed at the Greenhouse Gabled Cottage. We had a great time, the cabin was the perfect size for 2 people. We moved the futon closer to the TV while we were staying there since it was hard to use when it was all the way across the room. The loft bed and all the bedding is quite comfortable. There were several things included for our use that were convenient and nice to have, like Towels, bath robes, slippers, soap/shampoo/conditioner, a mini waffle maker, and board games. The cabin is so close to town, which is really convenient because the kitchen at the cabin only has a mini-fridge, microwave and a 2-burner portable stove (no oven or full stovetop). We did spend a nice afternoon out by the fire pit as well. If you plan on using it, make sure you bring a lighter, and aluminum foil if you plan on cooking. There is firewood available for sale on the property for $10 a bundle. I was excited for the farm stand, but it was mostly empty while we were there, the only thing we could buy was the firewood. The little goats and chickens were cute. The greenhouse we stayed in also had a beautiful bathtub. Since we stayed in November it was a little cold to use, as the greenhouse is not insulated, but we knew this prior to booking so I wasn’t disappointed. I used the bathtub late in the afternoon so it was a bit warmer, the hot water felt so nice in the open air. It was a really nice addition to the cabin. The cabin was a little bit less secluded than the Airbnb listing led me to believe, it is on a campground where the other cabins are fully visible to each other, though far enough away that you can’t really hear too much.

We stayed in a cabin. Throughout the night, we were woken up multiple times by the sound of small rodents in the room and in the ceiling above us. When we got out of bed and looked at the foot of the bed, there were what look to be mouse droppings and pieces of ceiling tile on the comforter. This is not the way it looked before we went to bed. There were some other issues we were willing to overlook during our stay (wifi troubles, dirty carpets, funky smell in cabin, stairs leading into cabin are not aligned properly/broken) but the rodents keeping us awake and mouse droppings falling on the bed that we were sleeping in was not something we could overlook. The property was very nice, we enjoyed the pool and the farmstand so it was unfortunate that the cabin fell short of my expectations for the price we payed. I did a lot of research before choosing to stay at this location but I feel that where we stayed was very different from what was advertised on the website. No one was in the office at any point during our stay and when I emailed, they did not offer an apology, they told me I could have called the emergency line. EDIT TO ADD (after reading the reply): this happened at 4am on the day we were checking out, relocating was not really an option, I just wanted to go home and shower after finding mouse droppings in the bed. I can assure you that we did not leave any crumbs as we were only there for 2 days and ate out of the cabin for all meals. The fact that the management is trying to deflect this into us instead of apologizing profusely or apologizing AT ALL is literally insane to me. There was MOUSE POOP FALLING FROM THE SKY. I rest my case. Also I said I was willing to overlook the wifi but now that they are blaming me for not knowing how to sign into it, I can also assure you I know how to properly sign into wifi. And yes, I used the little binder to sign into the proper network AND agreed to the terms of service so it was the weak wifi signal in the cabin, not me. So ultimately what resulted in our poor experience was, once again, the mouse poop FALLING FROM THE SKY and then the business trying to blame me instead of just saying sorry.
