Tremont Lodge & Resort

We decided to stay because the price was good and we were just going to be there for one night and wouldn’t arrive until late evening. While we stayed in one of the units that had yet to be renovated, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. We would like to stay again in one of the renovated rooms to compare. Service was excellent and friendly. Communication was timely and they seemed to go all out to make sure we had a good stay. There was a car that had been left running outside next to our room for over thirty minutes. The staff promptly took care of the issue. We did not have to opportunity to experience any of the other amenities so can’t speak to those, but hopefully on a return trip we will. We are frequent visitors to the area and always looking for quality places to stay that have good value.

We had a wonderful stay there over the weekend. It was so quiet and peaceful. You would never know it is right in the heart of town, with plenty of shops and restaurants to walk to. The front staff was friendly and knowledgeable, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the free hot breakfast was delicious and very much appreciated. It's hard to find that anymore in most hotels. What a great value! Clean, safe, quiet, they offer it all! We were very impressed with everything and encourage anyone heading to the Smokies to try out Tremont Lodge. You won't be disappointed!

We were thoroughly surprised by the Tremont. We stayed in a renovated king bedroom. It was beautiful and clean. The decor was very tasteful and reminded us of a cabin. The breakfast on Sunday was very good. Trevor provided excellent customer service. We had an issue with the TV, and he came and immediately fixed it. Would highly recommend staying there, and we are planning on returning in the future.

We used to love staying here before the new owners. We stayed here every weekend in 2020, and we spent our wedding night here. But we will never stay again. This was our blankets and when I brought it to the attention of staff, they told me that housekeeping didn’t show that in their pictures, and that it looked like coffee stains. It definitely did not, it looked like blood stains and it wasn’t just on the blanket it was also a spot on my husbands pillow. We have a 1 year old that sleeps in the bed with us and to see this the day we checkout was foul. Furthermore, the shower curtain was coming off the wall, the seal on the back of the door was coming off , and the room had long black dog hair everywhere in the bathroom. Housekeeping clearly doesn’t do their job. Such a shame because it’s in such a beautiful location and it’s like a second home to us. Unfortunately not anymore. We were told there’s no compensation for the fact of the dirty room and blankets. Do not recommend. At all.

Spent 2 nights and found everything to be spotless & the bed to be extremely comfy. The layout was cozy and home-like, with the suite including a wood-burning fireplace (although I didn't have opportunity to use it). After-hours check-in was a breeze and the premises are well-kept, expansive and quiet. Our family lived in Townsend several years before relocating, and we will forever appreciated the serene beauty of the area, as well as the simplicity of life in this "off the beaten path" community. If you desire a restful get-away & yet need to be in reasonable proximity to numerous family-friendly activities (hiking, camping, go-carts, mini golf, horseback riding, dinner theaters, zip lines, ice-skating and so much more), then Tremont Lodge & Resort needs to be your stay-of-choice
