This place makes my heart sing ♥️ I'll never forget sitting in the river on a rock and having a dragonfly come land on my knee. I have great visions for this place.. I imagined offering raffle tickets to win a free weekend of camping at the TLC Campground to every willing attendee of a home Autzen Stadium game. I thought that if I did so, I could get enough money to buy the campground. I imagined providing glamping spots with little classic trailers set up for instant camping, along with teepees and other tiny homes. I imagined having a masseuse there along the river with someone playing a harp nearby. I imagined a mini Amphitheater like at Cuthbert with live music and other performances on the stage and an opportunity to project outdoor home movies for family reunions or celebrations of life. It would be a great place to have nature weddings and Outdoor School opportunities. I grew up camping at this campground, and it was pretty dirty then and trashed by party goers. My dad got an opportunity to buy the campground and wanted to ensure that it would forever be a public place to camp. His endeavors to fix it up were beautifully accomplished, but the vision to sell it to the county or federal park programs did not pan out. His Vision was for a Grand Canyon of Lake Creek recreation destination. Connecting the TLC campground, the Historic Power House, with hiking trails down to the lower campground, below the Rock Slides. Providing year-round opportunities for Outdoor recreation via hiking, kayacking, viewing the salmon spawning, and outdoor education in the Triangle Lake area community. The campground is for sale. Maybe you can carry the baton that creates opportunities where folks can enjoy camping at a beautiful campground along the river for future generations to come ♥️
Our family and friends loved it. Rustic charm. Camp host is very sweet and brought us lots of plums, grapes, apples and pears. Kept us stocked on firewood. Primitive camping. Tipping is appreciated and deserved for host. Had a blast.
Great place to camp and it is so warm in the summer and not far from Rock slides
