Very peaceful campground. Enjoyed my stay here. Stayed in site #2
Beautiful campground! Our site was #2 which had great views of the lake from our van, however you can't go wrong with any of them. There are 10 altogether. If I had to choose again, I'd choose site #1 because of the shade and its own personal view of the lake. Do be careful of spiders in the restrooms! Seriously! The movie Arachnophobia had nothing on these bathrooms. The entire restroom was covered with spiders. There were even signs on the urinals to Not Use because all the spiders in them! Eeks!
Very nice place to camp, however me and my husband experienced was a bit weird, just only us no other camper, so peaceful till 8pm a pick up truck drove and park his truck on site #9 and we're on site 2, so I'm wondering why? Beside for reservation online on that date no other reserved just us. So I told my husband maybe the driver need some place to sleep and can't drive long till he get home. However my husband feel bad vibes with that driver of pick up truck so we decided to packed our things and leave the campsite. We're not afraid of any animals but human don't know, hard to trust to anyone.
Perfect Labor day weekend getaway... My husband and I enjoyed our time there with nature... We heard the coyotes, husband seen coyotes at our campsite.. make sure your trash is Disposed of before going to bed... Tent stakes will NOT work... Unless you find a spot outside the box provided for the tent... I do not Recommended RV, motorhomes... The space is tight and steep.( The sound of a generator going all day and night was annoying..) Plus the road to get there is very curvy.. We Also don't recommend going when it's over 100° no shade available till 5pm. We Went to the lake put of chairs and feet in, alot cooler down by the lake... Love'd it! Campsites are on top of each other, no one brothers you... Bathroom and shower (Ladies) was clean and useable... Shower was hot and good pressure. There is a water spicket with water pressure.....in the middle of camping ground....small campground with 10 spots, long enough for RVs but not recommended...space is tight and no hook-ups available... Park rangers were amazing, they check on you Couple time's a day answer any questions you may have...
So beautiful we had the camp to ourselves on a Wednesday night the hill is steep and the camp sites are very close together but it was a beautiful view and with the water so high this year it was a short walk to play definitely will be coming back but only in cool weather
The best RV campground I have been to. The road definitely can appreciate some touch of love. The view of Pine Flat Lake though is awesome. Only 10 sites mixed use of tents and RVs yet it has a hot water shower. I was on the hunt for Spring flowers blooming. Visited it late March. Decent blooms. April would have been more? First time to the area but will be back many more times to just chill and relax.
Read the description if they have tent pads. Spot 10 was rocky AF but it was a good spot to camp with a little cell service if you're into that.
