I like some others was concerned when I read some of the reviews for this campsite, but we drove in with an open mind and are some glad we did. The staff working was an absolute gem such a kind soul. The facilities were cleaner than many homes I have been in and the showers were hot! Does this campground have all the bells and whistles, no but we had everything we needed. We were even lucky enough to experience the northerns lights as the Aurora put on a beautiful show.

We read the reviews of this campground and were a little nervous, but we’re pleasantly surprised to find that this is a perfect location and campground. Yes, it’s a bit rustic, but I appreciate that they didn’t mar the beauty of the area by trying to make it perfectly manicured. The weather was hot making AC pretty important, but the electrical service was fine to do so. The laundry and bathrooms were very clean and we appreciated the kindness and service of our hosts. What is ideal is the location-only 10 minutes from St. Anthony (and a whale watching tour) and about a half hour from the Viking exhibit.

It would be a nice spot if it were maintained. First off our electrical maintenance system shut our electrical down due to low voltage(104 Volts). We had just arrived and the microwave was the only thing in use. After inquiring I was told they were not aware of the problem with the voltage. NL Power were in to check the electrical system and said there was low voltage in the campground and it may have been due to a backup generator that was being used in the area. Not sure that was the case due reviews from others with concerns about low voltage from the previous year. Could not use our AC due to the fact you should never operate your AC below 110V without the risk of burning out your motor. The picnic table on our site and the site next to us were rotten and falling apart. The roads could certainly use some gravel to fill in the pot holes.

Needs some major sprucing up but good location to visit St Anthony. Whole place shows neglect. Boil water advisory in place. Loved the Grenfell Museum. Saw icebergs close to shore at Goose Cove.

This park has clean restrooms and laundry. This is where the positives end. The drive ways are pocked with substantial potholes. The grounds are unkempt with broken picnic tables just tossed to the edges of sites. The dump station is not in a convenient place. Wifi is for all practical purposes nonexistent. To top this off the seasonal folks had a party with very loud music that lasted past 2:30am with the participation of park management. The Viking RV park would have been better. It looked to be in better condition.
