Trout Haven is a magical place with the most friendly and attentive staff. I hosted my wedding weekend at Trout Haven and it was one of the best planning decisions I made. Darby and Susan were extremely responsive, caring and helpful. Outside of the people who work there, the property is amazing! Great views of Rocky Mountain, a prime location, and the cabins are perfect. I highly recommend this place for a big event like a wedding or family reunion or a weekend gateway with your family. This place is perfect!
So we had a great stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The trout house was spacious and gave us enough room to really enjoy our vacation. The hot tub in the back was in working order but we couldn't adjust the temperature. A full kitchen loaded with all the tools you need to cook up a meal. A washer and dryer if you need to get some laundry done. Pretty much had it all. The river is crowded with campsites and other cabins, so not exactly a getaway of solitude. Still a pretty good mostly quiet spot to get away.
We really loved staying here. The fishing pond was so much fun and the kids loved playing on the playground, which we could easily see from the porch. The beds were comfortable and the location is great.
Didn't get to fish because of lightning but nice people that explained to my 10 year old the entire trout pond experience. Sure if we got to fish we would give them 10 stars.
The trout is $1.35 per inch that you catch...They can provide everything you need to fish! Plus, they gut, clean, and put the fish on ice! Then you can either take or donate. Very kid friendly!
