Another great campground from parks Canada. Lady was very friendly and helpful. Lots were clean and good size. Bathrooms are modern and very clean. Nice hot showers were welcomed with the cold spell we were having. Many good trails within a few kilometres from the park. Green Garden and Tableland are a must with Green Garden being the toughest one of the two. Please make you way to the little restaurant at the village, you will not regret it.
A nice campground close to the Tablelands hike. Clean showers and bathrooms and wifi is available.
We've been really impressed with Parks Canada campgrounds and Trout River did not disappoint when we visited in July. Good location for getting to hikes and park programs in South part of the park. Loved the evening campfire with Marcella learning about her Mi'kmaq culture. Don't miss it! Tablelands tour also very informative!
The campsite is currently under renovations so the trailer that they are using for showers and bathrooms is not as nice. It's clean, but the showers were cold in the morning because of high traffic. The wood was very wet, so that made a fire difficult. That said, the campsite was gorgeous, the staff was incredible and so accommodating, and the views are absolutely worth every minor inconvenience. If you get the opportunity, the tablelands hike is breathtaking and not at all difficult. It's really close to trout river campground. Highly recommend!
