Tsawwassen RV Resort Introduce
Tsawwassen RV Resort, located at 4761 Nu Lelum Wy in Tsawwassen, British Columbia, caters to the Campgrounds & RV Parks category, providing services primarily for recreational vehicles. It serves as a local option for those needing specific access to nearby amenities.
Environment: The RV resort's location is a significant aspect of its environment, being conveniently situated for individuals needing to access the ferry terminal, visit the local waterpark, or go to the mall. However, one review notes that the park felt "very crowded" with "no form of privacy or space," suggesting a potentially dense layout.
Services: Tsawwassen RV Resort offers essential services for RV travelers, including a dump station for black and grey tanks, as utilized by one reviewer. The front desk staff is mentioned positively, with one guest describing the man as "very good" and another noting the clerk was "friendly" and provided helpful instructions. The resort also appears to offer Wi-Fi, although one review indicated poor connectivity with "barely 1 bar" and frequent data drops.
Features: A key feature of the Tsawwassen RV Resort is its strategic location, providing easy access to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, a local waterpark, and a shopping mall. This makes it a potentially convenient base for travelers using these facilities. The availability of an RV dump station is another feature, catering to those needing to empty their holding tanks.
Important Considerations: Based on customer reviews, local users should be aware of a few points. The nightly rate was perceived by one reviewer as not being worth $90+, suggesting it might be considered expensive. The Wi-Fi service reportedly has poor connectivity. Additionally, the park can be crowded, potentially impacting privacy and personal space. Navigating the dump site was reported as difficult for first-time users, although the clerk provided verbal instructions. There was also a mention of potentially needing to wait for the shuttle bus for check-in or assistance.
Promotional Information: For local RV owners or renters needing a location close to the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal, the local waterpark, or the mall, Tsawwassen RV Resort offers a convenient option. While the cost may be a consideration, and the park can be crowded with potentially weak Wi-Fi, the friendly staff and essential services like an RV dump station are available. Location is great for those needing the ferry, staying at the Waterpark or visiting the mall, but it's definitely not worth $90+/night. The wifi was barely 1 bar and data kept dropping. It was very crowded as well, no form of privacy or space. The man at the front desk was very good though.
We only came here to dump the tanks from our rented motor home. Clerk was friendly and gave us good verbal instructions, dumping site was (for two people who have NEVER emptied a black/grey tank before) hard to navigate. Thankfully we caught the clerk before he left on his shuttle bus run - which would have been frustrating to wait the extra 30 minutes to either check in or get help
It's o.k. to stay for a night, no big issues. Don't plan to stay longer, though. You'll be fine living off your RV for the night, but that's about it. Electricity is just 15 Amps, and in most cases doesn't work. Water connection's fine. No sanitation dump. The toilets themselves were actually completely clean; showers are sketchy, though. But still, since it's located right next to the ferry terminal, if you plan on getting an early ferry the next day, it's not a bad choice.
I’ve have stayed at plenty of camps across Canada and I was very disappointed in this one in particular. I was under the impression while booking that in the tenting area I would have electricity (mostly to blow up my beds and charge phones) To which we did not. The reason I booked here was to have electricity… and paying around 50$ a night that’s what I’ve paid approximately at other camps so it made sense to me.. Both nights of my stay were terrible. There is no clear indication to the number section in the tent section. You see the one end number 66. And no other ones as they have signs hiding and screwed into all the following posts. So my first night someone was in what was suppose to be my spot. I could hear children screaming all night on the other side of the bushes, my neighbours were drunk and scary. It didn’t seem like there were park rules due to people screaming and blasting music all night. I did not feel safe or secure in this park. Pulling into the location is sketchy and there’s lots of junk and clutter all around the “park.” Our picnic table was taken when we left for the day. And not enough for other tent spots. The only benefit is the location close to the ferry. Besides that I would not recommend anyone staying in a tent. The woman’s bathroom always had the door open which lead to lots of bugs in the bathroom. One stall didn’t close or lock the entire way it was stuck on a slant. Things were not stocked properly in a timely manner (paper towels and toilet paper.) My sister also burnt her leg on the heater as it was blasted on high heat and no cover over it. There was broken glass items on the wall which seemed dangerous to me as well.
I recently stayed at the RV Park in Tsawwassen, Vancouver, and was quite disappointed with my experience. While the park's location is conveniently just 10 minutes away from the ferry, the overall value for money is lacking. The cost is significantly higher compared to other RV sites that offer better facilities. The bathroom conditions were particularly disappointing and among the worst I've encountered in my travels. On a positive note, there is a small pool available for use, which is quite satisfactory. Unless you have an urgent need to be close to the ferry, I would recommend considering other RV parks in the area that offer better amenities and value.
