Love this spot. We’ve camped here 4+ times and it’s always super quiet and peaceful. close to both Beaufort and hunting island area. The bath house is clean, they have laundry, ice and firewood if you need it. The folks that run this place are so nice! glad to have found this gem Tucked In the woods.
We enjoyed our tent camping experience. The bathhouse stayed clean always. And the water was hot. Loveddddd my experience connecting with nature here. The fire pit was the best part. There’s wood for sale here also reasonable price.
Close to home but feels far away.. it is quaint and small . Although I think some people live there year round. It is still a nice place . Playground needs updates
We’ve been coming down here for 10 years during March. Quiet, peaceful, reasonably priced and friendly.
UPDATE: Stayed here again and still love it! Everyone is so helpful, and the place is pristine. It has everything you need. It’s so quiet here!! Beautiful scenery! Still highly recommend!!! Previous review: I am a new “RVer”. I showed up to “practice” knowing ZERO about the full hookups. The people here were extremely nice and helpful. Becky I believe was her name, also stays and works there and kindly showed me how to hook things up. She even checked on me to make sure I was getting everything figured out. Another gal who runs the office, I saw her on the golf cart making rounds quite a bit, I assume checking on things. (Which made me feel good about safety and rules being followed.) It was smooth checking in, staying, and leaving. The garbage dumpster area was so clean and well kept- I have never been this impressed with cleanliness! The campground was beautiful. Lots of trees and cute squirrels everywhere. There was a boardwalk area to visit, and a couple of ponds. It had a shower and restroom area as well. The place was SO QUIET! I saw a couple of people walking their dogs (and everyone picked up after them- the place was so clean). I had the best sleep of my life! The hooks ups and sites were perfect- great location, and in great condition. Everything was so user friendly. I most certainly plan to return there! I highly recommend this campground! I felt very safe. I felt like I knew where to find someone for help if I needed it. But also felt like I was in a very peaceful and quiet area in nature. Which was just what I needed! Highly, highly recommend!
