We looooooved this park! We stayed in a yurt in the campground. So clean! And we loved the vibe. It was fun but not too loud. It seemed very friendly. The lake was beautiful and we wish we got to spend more time there. We definitely want to go back and spend more time. Just a tip though that everything closes around 9 pm nearby and nearby is like 10-20 minutes away mostly. So we ran out of ice, propane, and firewood and had to wait until morning.
Really nice park. Good parking lot. Great place to walk out on the dock and look at the lake.
We stayed in two yurts for 6 nights the past week. Parking is right out front the yurt, so not long to haul your stuff inside. Walk to playground and lake wasn't too far, and we did that many times a day. The bathroom was close and showers just little farther but all very central. The lake has some sandy areas for playing in sand and a logged off shaollow water ares for swimming. There were salamanders in the water. Theirs a trail to walk. Not difficult incline, but it is 3.5 miles out, then 3.5 back if you do the whole thing and 7 miles total potentially. The best veiw point is around mile one. I saw mushrooms and snake and frogs and snails on hike. Some crossing are just boards further you get. We did a short drive to lighthouse and loved to tour and a trip to beach by coosbay another day. Internet was spotty on the phone, but I had cell service. You can't her traffic noise from 101, but I grew up next to freeway so didnt bother me.
I love this campground. All of the sides are pretty private and the campground is quiet. There is a free dump station and potable water.
Nice park, didnt cp there but dod drain the water waste ranks in our trailer, one can pay a volunteer fee to use the waste dump, I usually give $10.00. One is free to give any amount.
A nice quiet park that is near a few lakes and minutes from Oregon dunes national recreation area. The camp hosts and the park rangers really do a good job.
