Tule Campground

Stayed here in my Class C RV. My site was not level and after trying for 90 minutes, it was impossible to get my RV level at the hookup site. Several of the hook up sites are not level. Site #22 and 23 seemed to be slightly more level. There was a big tree hanging over the site too that can possibly do damage to your roof. They need to cut that tree back in site # 10. Also, you need a very long drinking water hose to reach the water spigot. It was at least 70 ft away. Because of the water spigot being so far away (my hose was not long enough), and not being able to get level, I asked them if they could transfer me to another site. Thankfully they could because I was there during the week and not everything was booked. I am glad that they worked with me on that. Good customer service there. Kind of a riff raff vibe here. My neighbors poor dog was barking all day long outside. They were not walking it. Made me so sad. I've stayed at better Army Corps of Engineers in Northern California.

Located just before the foothills to the Sharon Nevada mountains, Tule Campground is a spacious campground on Lake Success, formed by a Tule river dam. The campsites are spacious and very well-maintained. The restrooms are exceptional and include free showers. There is also a dump station on the site. Although it probably would be very hot in mid summer , it was delightful when we stayed there. We really enjoyed the stop.

This is a Great place to stay. It is clean and well maintained by the Camp Host and Core of Engineers! Awesome views of the Lake and mountains. Tule Campground at Lake Success is also a great value in comparison with other RV Camping. The Camp hosts are also very friendly and accommodating. I had messed up on my booking, and they were able to get it fixed for us while on site. The hook ups for water can be a ways away, just bring an extra hose and you will be fine. People who don’t know the history of this Campground is that it didn’t always have electric hookups and a lot of the water locations were already in place. My wife and I always enjoy our stay and plan to return often!

Nice COE on Success Lake. But there is no shade. A, few trees here and there in the south campground. But more over in the north side. Lake is small but nice.

I've seen some poor reviews here, but the problems we experienced were from irresponsible destructive campers rather than the site or staff. Both volunteer ladies here are wonderful. Maintenance people are team workers and dedicated to their jobs. Someone was a jerk and stuff garbage into the dump station rather than in the dumpster right there. I called the project office and within 30 minutes 3 people were working on it. They kept working until it was again usable and we could clear our tanks. They stood by to be sure it continued until we finished. Definitely friendly and good customer service. Site was fairly level and we had no problem leveling or space for both our car and motorhome. No problem with 50 amp hookup. Although the water spigot was quite a distance (50' m/l), we hooked it up. Didn't like the taste, and pets wouldn't drink it, so we bought bottled water in town. Town is only about 15 minutes away, and you can find most anything you need there. All in all, good campground and worth a return visit when in the area.
