Stayed in site #1.Great campground, good shade throughout, lots of space for tents, remote location. Bathrooms on site, has 2 grills and one fire pit. Ground is covered with pine needles, not too dusty, lots of firewood to pick up near the site.Rangers are nice and kept bathrooms clean. River is in walking distance 3min, but can't swim there, too much current. Good for hikes. No water on site, have to drive about 1.5m to a near campground to get water. No bear boxes, even though it says to keep everything away from bears and the other campground has bear boxes. Group sites 1 and 2 are nicely separated. The road to the campground from the HW 80 is paved, but has a lot of deep potholes, and road narrows to one lane at some point. Campground entrance is visible from the road and parking right near the site in shade.
It was a great group camping spot, deep inside the woods, flowing water stream right beside this spot. Restrooms were not maintained well, looked unhygienic. Beware that there will be no network coverage after you take the exit off highway 80. Offline maps are recommended.
Close to a small creek where you can have play in the water with kids some areas are deeper than others
