Absolutely beautiful hike that overlooks Banff. Relatively easy depending on fitness. Took about 40mins from the bottom of the hike. However you can start about 1/4 of the way through if you have a car there is a parking spot that misses the first 400metres. Overall it was stunning here and a great free activity to do 🏔️
Such a nice hike. I have bad knees so the steep bits were a little difficult for me but overall I would say it’s beginner friendly. It takes about 35mins to get to the top but the view is so worth it.
The Tunnel Mountain hike in Banff is a fantastic, beginner-friendly trail offering rewarding views without an intense climb. Just a short walk from downtown Banff, the trail is well-maintained and offers steady inclines that most hikers can handle. In about 1-2 hours round trip, you reach the summit, where you’re greeted with breathtaking panoramic views of Banff, the Bow Valley, and surrounding peaks. It’s a popular trail, so expect to encounter other hikers, especially during peak hours, but the views are well worth it. A perfect choice for a quick, scenic hike!
Steep start but it's really not bad after the 2nd parking lot. Great views and the mountain air will leave you refreshed especially if you finish the hike with an Okanagan Apple Cider.
The best view ever 💖 Is easy to hike if you are a beginner 💖 highly recommended. The road is clean and there are spots to take nice pictures.
