Not a campground for ppl who don't want to be on top of other campers and for ppl who want to be secluded. With that being said I came during bike week and it was great. They have a nice in ground pool, clean big bathrooms and showers as well as access to a major river.

This is an excellent place for RVers to stay. Beautiful area, quiet park and very clean. Most people who stay here come for the whole summer- every summer. So they have beautiful decks and outdoor tents. They take pride in their homes. The owner Bob opened up the park a week early to accommodate my husband and I because I am a travel nurse. We needed to be here early for my job. They have a Facebook page to communicate with everyone who is staying there. People are so friendly. Alton is a great little town and close to Mount Major and just a little ways from Rochester, Concord, Laconia, Lake Winnipesaukee, and the White Mountains. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again.

Lots of positive things: large sites, crushed stone so no mud, pool, large beach area, dock to put kayak into river. Friendly campers and staff is very responsive to questions and concerns, nice location. Only things I was concerned with was lack of trees for shade and lack of amenities such as playground. Overall very nice place!

This RV park is exactly what we were looking for. It is the first if not the only of it's kind in the state. There are Resorts that offer many amenities and activities which are great for vacationers, there are campgrounds all over the state and many are fabulous. The issue for us was that we are recently retired and are "snowbirds". Turtle Kraal is perfect for those who want a "neighborhood atmosphere" and want to live in NH for several months. Bob , Becky and staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. The pictures on the website describe the rest. This park was a life saver for us, we are lifelong residents of NH and this was the perfect solution to live in this beautiful state and get our NH Fix! Little "slice of heaven" this state is!
