Great stay at this campground. The wi-fi was good for the most part. Stayed in spot 167. Large roomy spots. Dogs allowed on two of the three beaches around the lake. Bathrooms are clean. Showers are in separate rooms and very large and great hot water. Washer and dryers onsite. A nice playground for kids. A big pavilion. Would definitely stay here again. Don't forget to use your coupon on the campground map for St. Ambrose Cellars which is nearby.
6-16-19, stayed here one night and hope to be back to explore the area some more. Staff was helpful with a late checkin. Site #8 right on the water next to the beach was very nice in the evening. Short walk to the bath/showers. The old shower/bath are nice but the new showers are excellent. Non biting flies were bad in the morning but did not notice during the evening.
Great family owned campground Well worth the cost! Clean small sized lake with a few sandy swim areas great for kids and large spacious campsites. We stayed at sites with electric and we had a water spout as well. The bathrooms and showers were nice and clean also spacious (cleaned frequently as well) Everyone was pleasantly kind and polite. They have kayak rentals, a couple play parks, basketball courts, pavilion for events and washers/dryers. We will definitely be back!
Visiting at the beginning of October. Sites are roomy. Bathroom and shower house was very clean and updated. Most people here are permanent campers and all have been very nice. Would definitely come back here
Wonderful campground. Very roomy sites in the new part. Bathhouse showers are clean, private and also roomy. Lots of dogs but all were well behaved and quiet and people picked up after them. Lots of places for my walking, dog walks and bikes. Pretty little lake though we didn’t have time to fish or launch the kayaks. Not too far off the beaten path, Traverse City was about 40 minutes away and the lakeshore only 20! I would definitely stay here again.
We visited this campground four years ago and it was much more quiet than this past visit, I know it was holiday weekend. A lot of side by sides and golf carts just driving around it was not a quiet experience trying to go sleep in our tent or relaxing. We actually left a day earlier because of this. Maybe it was our site but huge increase in ATV’s, not sure why people needed them its not that big of a place. It’s easy to walk around or ride your bike on the campground.
The lots are a nice size. Did not like all the loud 4 wheelers driving around the place all the time. Some campers (probably seasonal) blaring their music so loud we had to yell at each other to talk in our own campsite. Not an ideal place for a relaxing time. Has a nice little beach area for swimming, & they do rent kayaks & canoes.
We went there when my children were young. We all loved it. I would like to take my grandchildren here again.
We love coming here been coming for several years now. Staff is so helpful and it's soooo fun
