No Dock. Picked as a stop on road trip for little kids to fish- dock is not in commission. Somewhat noisy from hwy- the shoreline is a killing field with fish carcasses- great for bird watching- good for lunch stop-tables/bathrooms/trash dumpster available- Little dismayed at amount of litter present- teens found …an adult 3x toy of sorts amongst the litter in the grass around the picnic area- if laughter is the best medicine- they got their dose for the day-
Nice place to fish and/or enjoy watching the wildlife at the river. They have plenty of parking and they do charge if you don’t have a camp site. It is very relaxing to sit by the river. I went during a week day and only a few people were out.
Some camping here state park
Great stop not too far from I-44. Beautiful views, hot showers, lots of birds and wildlife. Bring earplugs as there is a bit of road noise.
It's a great place to fish, but the caretakers (state of Oklahoma) could afford to put up a night light that works 100% of the time. With as many ppl as that use this ramp it would sure be beneficial. State of Oklahoma, are you reading this!? The rest of the park is great! But the ramp is the single most used item in the park by far.
