Such a cute little town. A cafe and you can eat outside if the weather is warm enough. Going back to explore further in a few weeks

Absolutely beautiful place to camp at. We came down for Labor day and it was absolutely stunning. The stars are all over, the sound of insects calling is all around you, and it's just you and nature. It gets chilly overnight so be ready for that. You are minutes from the Twin Lakes, so it's fairly convenient if you want to distance yourself a tiny bit from other people. If you really want to get away then head up the mountain trail, but make sure your vehicle is equipped to do so. We made it almost to the top near Lily pond with a non modified Subaru Forester. The incredible sound of silence is all around, so don't be that jerk blasting music past 11pm. If you come, come to get away. Going up the trail you enter bear country so be prepared for that too. Pick up your food and trash overnight, make sure you store it in your vehicle. All in all a beautiful place to go to if you want to disconnect and relax.

July 8 2023. It was a sunny Saturday. Few clouds. Cold lake. Annoying bugs. But it was nice. Real nice.
