Customer Reviews
I'll start by saying this campground is pretty nice with the river along a lot of the sites. The first night we got there was a bit of a mess. We got completely set up and when turning the fridge on it was going automatically to gas. I didn't think much of it, as the sites are all 20 amp electric instead of 30. When we went in to go to bed around 11:30pm, we noticed the heat was weak and the lights were dim. I figured out pretty quickly at that point that we were running on battery power. Long story short, after going outside and trying to reset the outlet and running around to other sites with my cell phone charger checking them, we had to wake up our kids and basically pack up the whole camper which is kind of a nightmare because its a hybrid and move to a random site that had no one in it next to us. We stayed hitched up to the car and just quickly hooked up electric so we could turn the heat back on and go to bed. At this point it was around 1am. Before Falling asleep I booked site 26 for Friday and Saturday so no one could snatch it up. In the morning we moved the camper into 26 and moved the rest of our stuff over from 27. We went to the office before we took off for the day and the guy was nice enough, but had told us to contact the owners. I couldn't get a hold of them, but about 10 minutes later I got an email that we received a refund for 2 nights. While the quick refund was great, I was kind of bummed they didn't just refund for 3 nights. That being said, the campground is really in need of upgrades. Not sure why the camper sites along the river don't offer at least 30 amp electric. Either way, falling asleep to the river right behind the camper was amazing. I would come back just for that.. and definitely make sure the electrical is working before setting up.
My family stayed here 10/17/2024- 10/20/2024 Overall loved the river best part of the campground. We also loved the distance between Berlin and Woodstock/lincoln. Within a 30-40 mins radius. I also LOVE that the showers are free! I don’t feel rushed I do have some 1-2 stars about this campground. The customer service isn’t the best you call the number and can’t get a hold of anyone. The playground needs major updating. The first night was EXTREMELY frustrating and difficult we rented site 27 we found out around 12am that our camper was running off of battery and it was just about dead thats when we realized the site didn’t have working electricity so to avoid freezing to death we had to wake our children up at midnight to load our camper up and move our camper to a random open spot just to hook the electricity up so we can be warm all night. We had to book the next site over for the last 2 nights. We only got a refund for 2 nights instead of 3. I also found it to be very outdated and needs some major remodel. Stumps in the ground so I was constantly tripping over them. My family loves to burn and I found the fire pits to not be the best in size and it was overflowing with coals by the time we left. Also the women’s bathroom the shower curtains weren’t long enough so I felt exposed when I was trying to get dressed.
Twin Mountain KOA is a hidden gem within the White Mountains. I have camped in the area for decades and this was my first time here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The campground was clean and well-maintained. There are no seasonal sites which means lots of availability as campers are moving. They have some wonderful camping options such as yurts and a caboose to rent. Even though we are not KOA members we were treated as such. We will be back.
We stayed at the Twin Rivers campground for 4 days. We found it very nice and quiet. We tented on a spot right on the river. The spot was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were clean. The downside was the width of the shower curtains in the women's showers. They do not cover the whole stall and I felt very exposed. There were alot more pluses than minus. We will definitely rebook for next year
Stayed here the week after Labor Day for 12 days on the river. It was great! Quiet, close to all the best hiking trails, and easy in/out.
