Very gorgeous spot! Lots of flora around the area great views of the mountains and very peaceful. Sometimes it was so quite I couldn't belive it, not even a cricket. However after I set up camp, I washed my hands and within 5 minutes there were hordes off bees everywhere! They didn't attack me, it was just annoying swatting bees out of my face or picking them out of my food and drinks. At one point I bee-lieved I was a bee Whisperer... Anyway, aside from the bee's nest in the rocks near the campsite, it was a great spot. Gorgeous mountain range. There is no shade at this campsite. even in February it's hot and the sun is relentless, so bring a canopy. Bring water! my buddy and I went through 15 gallons in 6 days. There's a trail head about half a mile from the campsite. Just know if your on a hiking path you have to stay on it. However you're allowed to explore anywhere from your campsite. I liked Talley 4 better, but this spot is much safer and faster to get to and it's more calm. Didn't see any animals at this spot, not even a bird. If you visit please leave a review with photos and the time of year you came.

Secluded car camping near Juniper Canyon Trail. Very little/or no car traffic on nearby gravel road to trailhead. Nice boulders around the camp site and cover from wind. Takes an hour plus to get to site from main road.

Great location away from everything. You need to have a high clearance vehicle and ideally 4x4 or have off road tires and ability to air down. It is about 1 hour off the main road. Airring down made for way easier ride. Just note, if you go during warm months, bees will show up for ANY water. It got to a point it was annoying but that's part of primitive camping.
