This is a very nice, quiet campground. Owners are great. Very caring and friendly people. Cool common area. Fire pits, game tables, swings and slide for kids. If you're looking for a relaxed place while you're in the are, I recommend!
Quiet, clean environment. The hosts here are amazing and helpful. Everytime I'm in Iowa camping and exploring this is my first choice. They have RV hookups and just 10 minutes from Boone town for fuel food and other activities. Check them out when camping in Boone or surrounding area.
The bugs so bad couldn't be outside even in the day. Grasses hadn't been mowed. Felt like camping in someone's unmaintained backyard. Which in fact is just what it is. A backyard campground. I am changing my review from the initial 1 to a 4 as the owners made every effort to make our stay a better experience. The campground is actually quite beautiful when the common areas are mowed. There is a rustic but very nice covered area with electricity powering party lights and radio system and several large tables with benches. We found we could avoid the worse of the gnat swarms by using this area. The owners are really nice and have many plans for additional improvements to their campground. The gnat problem is bad this year due to all the rain. So, bottom line, I would recommend camping here.
Cheap to stay overnight, that's about the only good thing about it. However if you need to dump your tanks be prepared to pay an added fee they don't tell you about upfront. Dumping is kind of a joke, they come and use a towable pull behind and it takes several trips so you don't get a clean flush. Flies are super abundant so don't keep the doors open. Otherwise it's quiet and small, and nothing too special.
Friendly owners. We showed up late the they helped us to our site and even guided me to back in. There is about 10 rv site and 3 tent sites. It has been a peaceful weekend and only $18 a night for a 30 amp hookup is a plus. I would recommend this place. We have a 57 foot rig and was able to get into our site. There is one tight corner for longer rigs like ours.
