Customer Reviews
We booked one night in the secondary campsite (not lakeside). However, it was a great camping experience. Campsites suits tents or small RVs. So it does have the feel of classic camping. Well seated in the forest with partial mountain view. Would return without hesitation.
The best campsites in Banff are the Two Jack Lakeside campsites and the hardest to get in the high season. I was lucky to get a spot for a night (34). These are walk-in sites, so you Park and the campsite is a short walk from there. With magnificent views of the lake and stone throw accessibility, it's easy to see why it's hard to get these spots. I had an amazing night, made a crow friend, and had a great time in Banff. There are outlets in the cooking shelter if you need to charge your phone. Bear locks available, firewood available, bathrooms, and showers as well. With nice hot water. A total bonus. 10/10 recommend.
Beautiful campsite with the lake right behind the majority of sites. Some sites are a little small if using more than one tent as they are very strict about having tents on the grass, even if the area used to be gravel. Paying per day for unlimited firewood is very nice as you can keep the fire going all day without worrying about the added cost. Restrooms are full service with hot water, flush toilets, and showers. The proximity to Banff, as well as Lake Minnewanka, make it an excellent location for exploring Banff National Park and the rockies, although if possible I'd suggest making the trip in the off season when tourist volumes are lower. Overall, it's a great site, and I'd definitely consider returning.
This is my favourite campground in Banff. Spectacular lake right at your doorstep as you get up in the morning. Showers, flush toilets, water and washing up facilities. No RV hookups but Two Jack Main is just up the road if you need a sani-dump.
On a beautiful lake shore sits this amazing campsite. We had a "walk in" spot (site 33) but was less than 30m from the car. The bathroom and hot showers were in excellent condition. There was also drinking water and a sink for dishes. We stayed for two nights and only wish it was longer.
