Love that there are puppy pens for dogs. We had one and it worked great. Our dogs could run and play and not be tied up. Another plus was having activities through out the weekend. Very family friendly and great location on the river. Def will be camping a lot more here.
We had a lovely Memorial Day weekend! We LOVED our waterfront campsite, we spent lots of time fishing, hanging at the bonfire, and enjoyed the super heated pool! We were pleasantly surprised how quiet it was at night, we were concerned for my VERY barky dog and it was quiet as can be! So many fun activities planned for families for MDW as well. We’re older and brought our parents for a nostalgic camping weekend like we had as kids and it was lovely. Especially loved the wood and ice delivery via text, SO convenient!
This is the best campground we have ever been to!! Nice and clean! Fantastic people who work there! Great camping spots and fantastic facilities like Gaga ball, swimming pool, pet runs, and tubing!
It's tough to give a true rating since it rained the entire time and we only stayed one night. It is definitely a nice campground with a very nice camp store and good customer service. My only complaint is it is a little pricey.
I’m gonna be completely honest. Campground is lovely . The activity’s for kids , so many , but at a cost of course . I found staff nice and friendly. But the tubbing …… we took 2 10 year olds and they both almost drowned in the river. It was the most terrifying experience ever. I couldn’t even count all the down trees in the river and the current which is strong pushes u right into the trees. 2 times the kids got jammed up into the downed trees and the current sucked them and their tub under . Flipping them off and sucked under the tree jams . It was terrifying for them. If they would have gotten caught under on a branch they would have died. I’m not talking one or two trees. The whole river is full of downed trees. The river isn’t deep about 3 or 4 feet but it’s so unsafe with that strong current and all those trees down. A kid could easily get the strap of their life jacket stuck or clothing stuck under those trees under water when the current is that strong . It took us hours to get to the end because our kids were so scared we had to walk in the forest a lot of the way and take so many breaks because another tree was ahead and they were terrified to go . And not a single staffed warned us about the conditions of the river. Like I said campground is nice so much to do. Just don’t take small kids on that river.
