Check in staff was so welcoming and helpful! Our site was perfect for our RV and spacious. They do not put people on top of eachother which resulted in ample privacy. Extremely peaceful and serene. We will be visiting this campground again.

We have stayed at Uchee Creek in the large chalet twice in the past year for our son’s various ceremonies at Fort Moore. The cabins are rustic, and located in the woods. If you are expecting the Hampton Inn you will be disappointed. HOWEVER…. If you are expecting an nice cabin, with ample space, kitchen, shower, large couch, TV, and a large kitchen table that you and your family can sit around and eat, you’ll be very happy. There is also a nice deck with furniture. The WiFi isn’t great. Talk to your family :). There is a swimming pool, playgrounds, boat rentals, and a laundromat. It is close to Fort Moore and 2 hours from Fort Novosel. We will be back again.

This is one of the best RV campgrounds we've been to, and We're retired and travel a lot. Sites are easy to get in and out of, they're level big plus for me, lots of shade and the People in the office are there friendly. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks to all the Folks at MWR for all your help.

I booked a small cabin for my dogs and I to visit during a quick TDY trip to Fort Moore. Recently PCSing from FMGA, I definitely wanted to get a cabin instead of a hotel for the privacy and have always loved visiting Uchee Creek for events and recreation. During my stay, I could not get the shower to work. I called the after hours number to ask if I was maybe doing something wrong or if the shower was in fact broken. They said they would call back the next day during business hours to have someone come check it out. I never received a call back. Fortunately they do have a bathhouse so I was able to take all of my clothes and shower items and walk to shower the next day. After my visit, I went straight back to work only stopping by my home to take my dogs home and unload my luggage. At work that evening, I noticed red bumps on my arms. At the time I was not overly concerned. However, the next couple days the bumps had spread all over my arms and neck. I went to sick call to be seen and was told they appeared to be BED BUG bites. I quickly went home and stripped everything in my home and inspected, cleaned and washed EVERYTHING. While cleaning, I did in fact find a single bed bug. On Monday I called Uchee Creek Campground to inform them of the situation. They informed me they would have a manager call me back. The manager did not in fact call me back. I called again on Wednesday, was placed on hold and then told a supervisor would call me back. Never got a call back. Called again Thursday and the manager had already left for the day. The nice lady at the front desk informed me that they had checked the cabin and the shower worked fine and there were no bed bugs. I had not travelled anywhere except to the Uchee Creek campground and had not even slept in my own bed yet when I first noticed the bites on my arm. While I am hopeful they did send an exterminator to check the cabin, there is no possible other explanation for where I would have got this bed bug. Aside from that, it is now Friday, a week from my check out, and NO MANAGER HAS CONTACTED ME. The communication is nonexistent. I have asked for a refund for my stay, and only the manager can fulfill that request. I am extremely disappointed in the service, lack of communication, and frankly - pissed off for basically being called a liar. I will take ownership for not being diligent and checking the cabin when I arrived, but being a quick work trip and an MWR FACILITY, I foolishly thought this was a clean and safe place for me and my dogs to stay.

Visited this area to inquire about using an event space (The Lodge). Spoke with Sandra who was a delight and represented with outstanding customer service. Answered all of my questions, explained rules, and gave me a copy of the contract. The Lodge is a great resource for hosting an event. Military identification, deposit/payment, and contract signature required. Not expensive and well worth the usage. Read the contract for rules. Respect the campground and the neighborly environment.

We rented a chalet. The cabin was not very clean, there were dead ants all over the bed upstairs in the loft. Beds were not comfortable. Camp hosts were kind and attentive, however the cabin was missing basic cooking amenities. Not sure we would stay again.

I had called the day before we arrived that if we should up earlier then expect if we could check in since we drove 16 hours without stopping for son army graduation. I was told yes that would be fine. The lady that checked us in was extremely rude and not friendly. I offered to pay for an extra day she said the can’t. But you welcome to rest in your car till three we arrived to check in at 10:00 am and said we can rest in our vehicle in the parking lot. Our front screen door was broken so it would slap in the wind. We could barely find plugs to charge phones and iPads had to buy extension cord to reach the loft for my son to charge his phone and laptop to do school work while we’re on vacation. In my opinion for 130 a night I could have stayed a nice air bnb and had a more pleasant time.

By far the best MWR campground I've been to. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The grounds are wonderfully maintained. The only thing I wished was open was the pool.
