***Introduction / Overview***
Union Lake Sarah Campground is a long-established, private, seasonal campground that has been serving the region since the mid-1950s, growing from a small resort named Linger Longer into its current 72-site capacity. Located just off Polk County 41, the campground operates during the prime Minnesota camping season, typically from May through September, but also notes that it offers lake access in the winter for local ice fishermen.
With 71 total campsites, including approximately 5 dedicated tent-only sites, the campground caters primarily to the RV and seasonal trailer community, providing extensive infrastructure to support longer stays. The true appeal of this location lies in its duality, giving guests access to both Union Lake (877 acres, known for Walleye, Northern Pike, Bass, and Crappie) and Lake Sarah (366 acres, also featuring Walleye and Pan Fish). This dual-lake access is a significant draw, ensuring varied fishing and boating opportunities for all skill levels.
The campground structure is designed to be largely self-sufficient, featuring a snack shop and various convenience services on-site. While the majority of sites are booked seasonally, the availability of daily rentals ensures that travelers passing through the Erskine area can also benefit from the excellent facilities and lake access. It is an ideal spot for Minnesotans looking for a classic, amenity-rich lake camping vacation.

Great ice cream! Nice selection and nice people!
They have there favorites out there. We caused no problems out there and yet they pretty much kicked us out cause we didn't help clean ditches this last time. So for all you new people who get a spot out there make sure u read your contract. There is small lettering saying if you don't help clean ditches your out of there.no excuses. I can say people act like they didn't know we were getting kicked out but I'm 100 percent sure they all knew! It's small campground gossip. And another thing you have to be quite after 10 o clock. And don't let your kids drive the golf cart by themselves but yet when my kid did they freaked out but then again I seen all kinds of kids driving them but didn't get in trouble. It's all about who they like and who they don't.
Management shows Favoritism. We had a spot there for 5 years Always had fun Paid my bills Always obeyed the rules And respected others. But management decided not to Renew my contract. Because I didn't clean the ditch. I wouldn't complain if everyone who didn't help got kicked out. But they pick and choose who gets kicked out There are A lot of weekends that I'm busy and don't make it out Because I run a business . Just think that it's kind of unfair that they can get me out on a technicality Written into their contract to get people out they don't want. Even if you don't break the rules.
Everything about it is great except the noise level after 11pm. The noise is not patrolled.
This is the best campground. There are nice owners, it's a nice, clean campground, there's a gas dock on the water, it's just a pretty nice lake overall. There is also a little building with ice cream and food in it. You can buy some campground merchandise and it is like a small store in there. You can buy canned foods and bug spray and some medicines and just a lot of stuff. I would recommend going here.
