Beautiful, mostly tree lined, well maintained gravel road, descending 2,000 ft from the US 180 turn off near Alpine. Impressive red rock canyons reminiscent of Sedona and Oak creek Canyon. Small well spaced campground with two log covered lean to’s on concrete slab. The third campsite had no cover. The campground had a clean but primitive privy.
Absolutely loved this place. There is a lil river just down from the camp sites. I like the open cabin they have here as well. We picked up a lot of trash here, people leaving their trash behind. Pack it in, pack it out please.
Since it has been upgraded it is a great campground. Great scenery along the creek. Great birding the last of April on. Can't wait to return. Running water in campground, but not drinkable.
Very Beautiful and Safe. Clean bathrooms. The entire family loved it and had so much fun. Can't wait to go back again.
Clean and safe campground in a fantastic location!
