Camped here August 2024, after driving a modified Vista Byway counter clockwise. Sierra Forest has been devastated by wildfire and the site is relatively unscathed, while technically ‘closed’ there were probably 100 people camping here. Facilities are in shambles, even for a remote site be prepared to be fully self sufficient including waste disposal. Creek here is the defining feature, beautiful except when ATVs are trying to drive up it destroying the sensitive habitat. Be prepared for loud ATVs and dirt bikes well into the night, and breathing fumes constantly. Needless to say, this place wasn’t for my family looking for a peaceful location in the forest. For others it may be perfect.

We have camped here almost every year for the last 8 years or so, typically a very quiet rustic CG with no trash service, no water, and vault toilets. ATV trails, fishing in wet years, horseback riding are a few of the typical activities. Road is a little sketchy in places but trailers seem to make it ok on the high road. Fire rings and camp tables are showing their age

Relatively remote campsite with vault toilets, fire rings and picnic tables. Lots of activities in the area, hiking, off roading etc. We had a group of 10 here, a mix of tents and trailer and had a great time, kids and adults loved it. The road can be a bit hairy, but it's not difficult to find.

Can’t rate the site itself just wanted to leave a review to state that the road leading to this site is currently closed so don’t try to go
