Honestly, it was an awesome experience, very quiet. Love how everyone was so nice. I called the lady 20 thousand times for her to adjust our stay and how to get there. She was amazing, They took cash app, which was amazing since I never carry cash. Delivered us ice and firewood, and again paid the app. I will be coming back again! Very quiet, great place to connect with nature. The water was amazing. The raft was awesome..
We recently camped here as part of the G.O.A.T 2024 motorcycle Adventure rally. There were plenty of flat, grassy camping zones right along the river for excellent views. There's also plenty of great fishing spots nearby if that's your thing. Though the weather turned a bit crazy at the end and tried to wash some of my belongings away, the rally was a great time. The owners of the campground even called later to check in on the status of my lost items, which had thankfully been recovered by that point.
I came here for the Goat adv rally 24. Absolutely beautiful campgrounds. I was first taken back by how the locals treated the area. Knowing that it's only 1 of 2 ways to get out from their community, makes it super crazy on the amount of traffic. The locals hate it being open apparently. After going out on the ride with Daniel who was hosting the event, I quickly came to realize why the locals didn't like the motorcycle group. Daniel was reaching speeds that exceeded 60mph on the dirt roads all over the county. Treating the back roads as his racing course. Ripping through school zones and doubling the speed. If I were the county I would never allow Daniel to return. I've ridden all over the country. I mainly do dirt roads. This is my passion. Daniel gives the sport a bad name. When the leader or host of the group openly disrespects the place he's welcome to, how do you expect his other riders to be? Probably not too different. Anyway, great campgrounds. I apologize to the community for Daniel. I would love to revisit and take my time learning the area.
What a great place to stay and adventuring around the gravel roads. Great scenic views from camp. Camp ground well kept and restrooms nice and clean! Highly recommend staying there and will be back. Note it is a cut through for area residents, visitors and campers. The speed limits are posted 20mph. I recommend the river side to camp for the view of the river!!! Large shade trees across the gravel road so you really can’t go wrong there either.
Been coming to this camp ground for the last couple of years for family gathering, and this year was one of or best thanks to the camp ground amazing staff checking on us, and the very clean restrooms/ showers, even or family pets loved it. Kids had fun at their playground, Came down to camp a night and stayed 3!! Thank u , we'll be back..
We spent a wonderful quiet weekend at this beautiful rustic lodge in its scenic location. The river views are gorgeous. The amenities were clean and functional. The staff was friendly and responsive. We will certainly be coming back.
