This is a little bitty campground right on the river with hiking trails all over the area. The camp host is fantastic. We love this little campground and come back every ear.

Arrived 10/2/24. Many nearby camps were already closed for season. While I was there the camp host (Vern-who looks like Lloyd from Yellowstone series) was notified they would close 10/15/24. Pristine Campsites and vault toilets. Right between river and highway. Tap water available. Moderate truck traffic noise until later in evening. Don't forget 50% off rates ($24 single or $70 group) w/ America the beautiful senior pass. BTW Vern's a great guy-been hosting 10 years).

I came in midweek and stayed as a walk-in reservation. The camp host was by far the best camp host I ever experienced. Vernon was super helpful and attentive. He shared lots of interesting stories and told me the best fishing holes. Bathroom was so clean for vault toilets in a campground. The sites are spacious and clean. There’s some road noise but it doesn’t bother me at all, and it’s quiet at night. Easy access for fishing too! As a woman camping alone in an area with no cell service I was slightly nervous. Vernon made me feel safe and secure. He told me he’d keep an eye out. He drove by a couple times just to check on me. He suggested I keep my car keys close, if I had any issue or heard anything to set off my panic alarm and he’d be there in a minute. Made me feel at ease, Vernon was very grandfatherly and genuinely cares for the campground, campers and wildlife. I will definitely be going back!

Stayed 3 days and 2 nights Vern was a great camp host when we were leaving on the last day the Bear Fire had started hey Vern is the camp ground still standing and are you okay ? Anyways I'll share some photos and this place is so gorgeous and great for family and friends, it has some type of spiritual connection by the way very real , when I say that I mean it your ancestors may visit you.

If feels secluded, even though it is right by the highway. The camp host is great. The river is right by the camp grounds.
