We have stayed here twice and both times had a great experience. Water and electric at the sites. You will hear coyotes at night. Bathrooms and showers are clean with hot water. Excellent experience!!!
Recently dropped off an acquaintance here A few weeks ago. Pretty nice, clean, well setup spacious camp sites for A reasonable price. When considering everything that you get between decent sized, fairly private spaced out spots! With picnic tables, BBQ grills, electricity, and Shared Showers! "But I don't think spaces have water hookups?🤔" Anyways She left her phone in my truck I found it several hours later by chance. Went to take it back, and the gates were locked? Locked up after ten apparently! I thought wow they lock you in and everyone else out after ten! Like your 16 years old again with A curfew! 🙅♀️FTS! But then when I went back the next day, the Park wanted Me to pay $7.00 to drive in drop off her phone turn around and drive back out? When I questioned how unreasonable that rule was! The guard said for Me to call her and have her walk "probably close to A mile" to meet Me at the Guard Shack! "Ummmm Dude I'm here to drop off her phone! Hello!!!" When I asked for his Supervisor he called him and his Supe said I had 5 minutes before they turn My license plate # over to the Sheriff's department as A trespasser! Not sure what's worse being extorted A ridiculous amount of $$ to stop by to see someone "even if I was staying for A couple hours or so?" I'm A guest of one of your guests who's already paid you for they're space, and you would charge Me $7.00 even if I was picking her up for work or dropping her off after work!😠 Consider the cost of living these days, now consider that if she's living out in one of your campsites then she obviously doesn't have alot of money already! When working souly for tips cause her work itself has money management issues, and doesn't always pay her! But doesnt complain about the fact that you are often late or have to leave early due to somekind of A calamity that your life is! And considering how cheap people are these days with enflation and the ongoing debate about tipping! Thats only been amplified these past few years by virtually every person in different sectors of the service industry wanting to be tipped for simply doing their jobs they already get paid to do! Has made people even more cheap oftentimes not tipping anymore than the change from A dollar if paying with cash or nothing at all when paying by card or online payment systems! Then credit card companies also started charging the consumers A fee everytime they use their cards! It used to be if you spent under $5 you got charged A fee. But that fee was to the establishment you were commercing in cause they had to pay it regardless for every transaction. Now it's the credit card companies charging it for every swipe made regardless of amount, and they're also still charging stores that fee too! With lower income earners already getting nickel and dimed to death from every direction. You would still charge people already struggling in life $7.00 everytime they get A ride to work and again when getting A ride back? What if they went to the grocery store? Due they atleast get A free pass to leave and return to A space they've already paid you for to get food? I know I'm rambling it just blows My mind how greedy our world has become! The Sheriff part was abit over the top and unnecessary aswell! 😡So there it is everyone nice spots benches grills and shared showers A curfew for adults and undisclosed additional fees for yourself and any visitor you have while staying there! Could you imagine A hotel with A curfew? Or one that charges for all yours and your family's comings and goings ontop of the payment for your room?🤬 🤯🔫
Added 12/19/2019. We love the area for relaxing and hiking. The only thing which reduces our review to 4 stars is the fact, the close shooting range is more and more disturbing. Which means, there is shooting 7 days a week until late in the night. Beautiful place, one of favorite county park in this area. Spacy spots, well maintained, clean restroom and bathrooms.
Bought a new trailer and came up here to for an overnighter to play with the new toy,we had a wonderful time. Our special needs granddaughter loved every minute of it. Our camp host "Nevada" was a super nice guy.
Great place for Phoenix / Mesa (eastside) RV camping Nov-Mar! Also good paths for biking and trails for hiking. Showers are spacious and separated from bathrooms, with hot water! Far enough to get away, yet just 5-10 minute drive to grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
