Managers Barb & Jason were terrific! We were there for a month in a 31’ towable, FHU’s. The shower house, bath house & laundry house were all very clean & functioned well. We were there when hurricane Helene blew through. No one was hurt at our campground but two trailers were totaled due to trees. Jason and Barb made sure everyone was alright, offered help to those who needed it and were otherwise on top of everything! They were amazing. Bingo on Fridays and crafts on Thursdays plus monthly events. There is a library in the wash house to borrow books—toddlers through adults. Nice folks in the campground, many seasonal. There is a small playground but if you have kids, they might need to have other activities.
We managed Utts campground for 5 years and the owners were very good to us. In fact we helped each other. We enjoyed our time there and glad we had the opportunity. Tim and Pam
Beautiful place. Very friendly staff and welcoming. Easy access from Interstate. Easy pull through camp spots. Overall wonderful experience.
Nice and quiet campground with awesome views. Very cost efficient and courteous staff! The staff will ensure your camping experience is the best it can be. Lots to do in area from shops to new river trail and blue ridge parkway. Highly recommended
Utt’s Mountaintop Campground is. Hidden gem for tent campers. While most campers are RV’ers, there are tent spaces located in the woods behind the RV spaces. We found the campground to be very peaceful and the campers very friendly. Carter, the owner recently acquired the campground and has a passion for it. His love for what he does is very evident. He was helpful, friendly and a joy! There is a library, community room, craft day, bingo night, and laundry facilities. This campground is community centered and the seasonal RV’ers love it. RV sites are mostly in the open, but quite a fews in the woods with shade. Tent sites are all amongst the trees. Things to note: -The bath house is .25 mile from the site we were in, farthest spot. This is similar to other campgrounds we’ve been to. You can also drive up to them. The bathrooms have a shower and were very clean. -There is a port-a-let near the sites and it was clean and well kept. -Not all spots had fire rings, but if you call and let Carter know you’d like a spot with a fire ring he will help make sure that happens. -Spots vary in size, there are no pictures online and it may help to call and ask which site is best if you have a large tent. -Wood is available onsite. -With new ownership I’d keep in mind that upgrades, changes etc. may occur over time. We had a wonderful stay, and largely that was because of the tremendous hospitality of Carter!
Great stay ! We arrived a bit late but they were still happy to have us. staff was extremely warm and welcoming ! The shower and bath facilities were clean :) We’d love to come back.
