The views are stunning, and campsites are far apart, so it's not crowded. There is a well kept bathroom but no running water
Great campground with an amazing view (if you get the right spot). The best view is from site #5, but it also has the most exposure and no shade, so a bit of a trade off. Bugs can be annoying, bordering on very annoying, so plan accordingly. Despite overlooking the valley below the wind was fairly mild, which was a welcome surprise. Only has a single pit toilet, which is ... well it's here, so that's nice.
FREE campground!! Awesome views! Several camp spots with fire pits with included grills. The road to get down to it is a little rough. You probably can’t get a big motorhome down there or anything maybe not even a pull behind. We are in a regular car so that helps us out with spots we can get to. But if you can get down there, I say go. It’s beautiful, but nobody takes care of the bathrooms. So watch out for that.
It's very quiet most of the time. Awesome views. Vault toilet is often abused. Bring your own toilet paper.
There are so many pesky insects and wasps that ruined my entire weekend, no matter how much bug spray I used, it didn't matter. Even using a mosquito net didn't keep them away. Most of the area campgrounds were either closed or required 8 day advanced reservation which I didn't have. There is pit toilet that smells so bad that I had to run away and catch my breath, I almost threw up. I'm never going back there again.
