Went for the car show, second one i've been to , John was more then helpful to me each time . Went out of his way to find a camping spot for me and my wife. Staff was very helpful in the office also. Surely would go again.
Made reservations and was told that we can't have the campsite that we reserved. We had people camping by us taking pictures with their cellphone, which made it very uncomfortable for us. So we ended up putting clothes on.( We don't want strangers taking pictures of us) Then they deceided to have a four some in their tent. ( not appropriate) The last straw was when we put towels out by the pool, yes we left for about 15 minutes and when we came back someone took our towels off the chairs and put them in the lost and found bin. If this is how the place is run we won't be coming back.
WE CAME WITH THE INTENTION OF HOPEFULLY BECOMING MEMBERS. WHAT A JOKE! This place just plain sucks. A bunch of geriatrics trying to run the place. My husband and I have never been to this place but yet my husband was told he was band since 2004. But of course the geriatric naked man couldn't tell us why. Address did not match only the name. Then as we were leaving I was told we could bring it up with corporate by writing a letter. Not worth my time. We will look elsewhere for a place to retire in the summer months. TO ME THE PLACE LOOKED LIKE A GOOD PLACE FOR OLD GROSS GERIATRIC men to hang out.
Beautiful grounds and very clean pool and bathrooms. Lots of activities planned throughout the season.
Love the camping. If you make reservation far enough ahead can get the full hookup, only 4 available. People are very nice but John, the pool police, can be a bit off putting. I understand, and I do, people need to shower before entering pool but I noticed John is selective on his reminders ( not always polite). When members do exactly what a visitor just did( shower, get in pool, then sunbath for a while and get back in) he does not bark at the member, only the visitor. I also saw him very harshly accuse a room guest of bringing room towels to the pool, which they did not do. I would think that visitor fees are really what keeps the place in the black. Not suggesting they not be reminded of rules, just be consistent between guests and members and say it nicely. All other members were nothing but courteous, kind, and welcoming. I will be back! Might want to add a one sentence reminder as people check in to always take a towel with them to sit on. 🙂
