The room we had was super small with the tv in the kitchen. We couldn't relax n watch TV. Thats ok, we were bust sightseeing all around there. Lots of peaceful woods n ocean spots to visit nearby. It did have a tiny stove, microwave n sink, tho. And a little fridge. Everything closed around 5:00pm, so get everything you need early or bring with you. It was right next to the water with Awesome, Fantastic views. Even got to see a few Majestic Bald Eagles.
Nothing to complain about! With very few options in the area, you kinda get what you get. We were looking to do the visit to cape flattery and also the Hoh - the location is kinda in the middle, so perfect for our purposes. I thought the 110$+taxes slightly overpriced for the room itself but it sure was clean, with a full cooking kitchen including cabinets for storage. So honestly, can’t really complain. It’s no-frills and all the basics are met. The only thing for me was the stand on showers are a bit tight quarters but again, it’s clean and has HOT water!! It has all you really need. I can’t call it “charming” but Dave our host was! Very helpful, great attitude, he had recommendations on things to check out. It’s right on the water and the other guests (full house when we stayed) were respectful and quiet (a huge bonus for me) mostly fishermen. We felt very welcome and very safe, do recommend!!
The staff was incredible. The maids came and spoke to you if they had any issues. The cashiers at the shop weren't trying to nickel and dime you. They were honest about what they offered and what they suggested was always wonderful. We will be coming back to this location again!
Really impressed with this little property. Pros: - Room had everything we needed (bed, sturdy table, kitchen, etc.) - Includes a little kitchen with dishes and everything. I can see this being a little home away from home for fishermen or others. - Great price - booked it on Orbitz I believe and it was super cheap for what we got. - Location was perfect for what we needed for a road trip through the Olympic Penisula - centrally located. - Fantastic view at all times of the day. Right at the water's edge. Cons: - It got really hot in the room. We kept all the windows open in the room and just kept our curtains closed the entire time. That made it better but still quite toasty. - No tub, just a shower - The shower also had a leaky faucet so we had to be creative with how to deal with the drippy drippy water noise.
These guys saved my butt today with some specialty Scotty downrigger parts and an epic customer experience. My new stop for fishing gear in Sekiu.
