“Vedder River Campground is an awesome spot! It’s clean and well-kept, with easy access to the beautiful river for fishing and scenic hiking trails nearby. The washrooms and bathrooms are spotless, making the whole experience even better. A fantastic place for a relaxing getaway in nature—highly recommend!”
This was our first camping experience here, and we were surprised when they charged $15 per night for an extra vehicle, considering one is the RV. It turned out the intake lady shouldn't have charged us extra, so they will be mailing us a reimbursement. Although it's a nicely maintained park, personally, I think a few small garbage cans by the shared walkways would be a great idea. Overall, it was a nice peaceful camping experience in a beautiful area.
For my need. It would have been the same to sleep on the side of the road or a parking lot. Showers are closed from 10pm to 8 am so I still had to go all the way to the sport centre to wash in the morning. It would have feel very cramp if the campground was full. There is not much separation between the site and when it is dark it will s very hard to see the numbers as they are not facing the street. I stayed 2 nights. I am not planning going back as it does not suit my needs. Maybe it is fantastic for other people...
They turn off the water to the showers at 10pm! Also lock the gate at 9pm and don't Off the gate from open it till 8 am! So if you want to get home from work l, eat and then shower before bed your out of luck! Or if you want to shower after having a fire before bed nope! Or if you need to leave early for work, or to do something early, or want to go out for dinner, you have to park outside the gate and then walk. These two things were a huge inconvenience for everyone in our group! Didn't know this before we arrived and it was really annoying. The sites were clean, location was pretty, lots of good walking trails, clean bathrooms. Reasonable staff.
We have been camping at Vedder river campground for years and live that it's such easy access to the beautiful river right off of the campground and just a short drive to Cultus Lake, other parks, trails and stores. Many trails to walk the dog around the campground as well. All services have been upgraded and always in great working condition. A beautiful place to camp!
