Customer Reviews
Guy was nice but seemed to change his story when I started with, " I want to camp in my SUV". Afyer I said I can buy a tent no problem. He said well we only do tent camping during the festival next week. I feel like he was judging me as homeless. Maybe I am wrong. But in my experience with the VFW, probably not!
The folks that run the campground are members of the VFW and super nice to work with! The campground was clean, full hook ups. Bath house was large and clean. We met some truly amazing people there. There is no laundry facility but there is a laundromat in town that is fairly priced and easily driveable from campground. Grocery stores are nearby too. The 4 stars are reflective of our personal experience rather than amenities.
Everyone here has been very kind and the prices were excellent.
We stayed here while in town to mountain bike the Kerr Scott trails. Super nice people and there was a Saturday night dance with awesome music.
Enjoyed Veterans Day activities there. Ward Eller stage was officially dedicated. Lunch was served. Window World had two paratroopers land near the campground. Great group of people.
