Nice, chill vibes and the glamping tents were great with beautiful views on the water. We liked the live music too but it was just so expensive for food and drinks. We would probably go more if it wasn't so expensive.
Check In: Self-check in made it easy to arrive when we wanted to. Site: Small sites, half of ours was a steep hill, your neighbours are directly adjescent to you, sectioned off with rope. Right next to an old canal, rushing water was loud (which was okay for me for sleeping, didn't mind the white noise) Bathroom: Women's washroom was clean, a little bit of a walk from the site. My brother said the men's weren't that clean. Food & Drink: Food spot was setup sort of like a cantina. The bar was not very clean, dirty cups and used straws strewn about, wasps everywhere. The bartender seemed a bit out of sorts. They picked up the silver mixing cup, looked inside it, smelled it, then proceded to make our drinks. This had me question everything - food and drink. There were young people working, did not see any older folks. I'm not saying the workers weren't capable but I wouldn't know because besides the bar/food area, I didn't see anyone else. Another strange incident in the morning - I came back from the restrooms and there was an older gentleman standing in the empty site beside me. I proceeded to pack up my things and he walked over, right beside my brother's tent. When he saw me looking at him, he took off (back to his permanent trailer spot at the top of the road). I continued to pack, he comes back and enters the neighbours campsite. I ask, "Did you lose something?". He says he's looking for fish (I do not speak French well and he didn't speak English well). He walks to the back of the neighbours campsite, behind thier screen tent, starts taking pictures of their site, not the water, then leaves. It was weird. I let my neighbours know before departure. Needless to say, I wouldn't stay here again.
We enjoyed our evening there with friends. The food and beer was good . They had a band playing which added to the vibe. Beautiful waterfront spot to socialize while watching the sunset. I will be going back!
Charming area. Small little sand beach with Adirondack chairs, small restaurant, bar, wonderful water waves. 2nd time here. Went kayaking last time and a small hike this time. People camp here too.
