Awesome BLM property. Clean and very well maintained. Overnight for $8 or day use for $2. Your National Parks Pass will work for day use entry. Paved with lots of campsites and day use sites as well. Hiking trails to river, canyon and scenic lookout.
Had a little fox visit us out under the stars. There are two areas to dry camp. The lower is closer to the river but also has some road noise from the hwy. Please be respectful and turn off generators! The Spanish trail from the upper camp does reach the river but not a sandy beach spot, more brushy. The trail in the lower camp has some great access to the creek. It was only knee deep in October (it was 106* today) but we got pretty dirty sitting in it. Pit toilets no showers. Watch for thorns in your shoes.
Great restrooms and beautiful views plus access to the Virgin River. Small day use fee applies to their use and use of sites. You need to have the Rec.gov app downloaded in advance - then it will work with or without service if you scan the posted QR codes from within the app. Well worth it!
Stunning and serene landscape that offered a break on our long journey. Deafening silence despite being close to the main highway.
Just 20 miles away for us to enjoy the beauty of this Canyon! Gorgeous sunsets, wildflowers and river peacefulness!
