$120 for a very average campground, probably more if you want a pull through site. Town is still a fair hike away. Only a couple of toilets and maybe 3 showers. We checked out and walked to breakfast. On the way back we used the bathroom before hitting the road. We were quickly reminded by a staff member that under Wyoming state law what we had just done was a felony and warned to never do it again. “Once you check out, that’s it”. Pretty rude considering the price we paid. We were in and out within a few minutes. This particular staff member was just a little guy with a big power complex. Interactions like that would never happen at home. Be better, very disappointing.
We were looking for a last minute, one night site in Jackson. I was iffy after reading some of the reviews, but decided to stay. I’m glad we did. This is a nice campground with clean bathrooms, showers & laundry. It is a little snug, but doesn’t seem that way since they left some trees & grass throughout. The sites are gravel, nice & level. It is within walking distance to the town square, rodeo grounds & pretty much anything else in that area.
The location was tight to get into with our 33' rig and sites were on top of each other with half the campground not being used, it would have been nice to have some room. We had to ask the people in front of us to move their vehicle just so we could hook up to leave. Can't say I'll stay here again to tight of spaces and whoever is booking the spots need to think of their customers first! We were packed in with hardly any room to park or enjoy their campground.
The Virginia RV park was a nice place to park your rig for a night. It is a hike away from downtown Jackson and fairly quick walk to the rodeo. They have electric hookups, dump, bathrooms and showers. The bath and showers have a combination so only customers can get in. The staff is VERY friendly. The bathrooms are simple and maybe time for an upgrade and or fixing up a bit.
The location is good. Close to town and Albertsons. The lots are very tight together and the men's washrooms/showers were below average. The costs per night is very high and it seems to be going at least in part to a overly active grounds keeper. He rides around in a golf cart enforcing arbitrary parking rules and is generally a nuisance. We won't be staying here again
