Wow! * Super easy to book! * Super affordable for residents! * Friendly staff * Wild blackberries, raspberries, wineberries, and cherries growing all over the place. Lots of wildlife and nature all around the campgrounds * Clean toilets, showers and campgrounds! With easy to find drive up camp spots and LOTS of shade! * Water spickets with potable water + fountains * Sinks for washing pots and pans And to top it all off it’s SO QUIET 🤫 10/10 would recommend. We came with our truck and our solar generator and have most certainly not been disappointed
My friends and I love the camp site. Just 2 things. One, too many large rocks and stumps where cars are supposed to park which can cause damage to the vehicles. Also disappointed the Observatory is only open on Sat and Sunday. Was looking forward to visiting while camping. Other then those 2, the camp site I picked is great. The bathrooms VERY IMPRESSIVE, didnt expect to see the washing sinks outside which is wonderful and so peaceful. We have found our new spot and want to try the cabins too. Just please see if you can possibly move those huge rocks and tree stump for the parking spots. As this spot can't fit 2 cars in well where they should go. 5 star if you do! 😁 See ya again soon. 👍
They stay open until Oct. On sat nights and Sunday daytime. They usually show few things.like Saturn or whatever is up in the direction to show. Friendly staff. I wish we could see more. Please note it gets really dark in that area when you drive. But plz don't be scared. There are usually many people in the observatory.
Camping here tonight and tomorrow some of the cleanest restrooms I’ve seen. Camp sites are clean and well maintained. Hiked the trails around the park and visited the observatory well worth the visit.
Great trails full of elevation changes. Work your way up to the top of the mountain and then go down to the valleys where the streams cut through the hills. Lots of tree coverage so most of the trails are in the shade.
Was a wonderfully quiet camp site, same day reservation for a night, bathrooms were excellent and very clean, the area doesn’t have any crazy trails but walking was nice.
Very nice place, better bathroon that so many other in NJ, Nice spot for your set up, ONLY BIG PROBLEM, how to find the location, Google take us to the police station od the area, and that is not where the office of the playground is neither the playground, ....also the guys of the Police station told us where the office were, but ask us comeback to that place, so we end up not understanding the map, becouse it was a spot number 45 that it was not on the map, and a 13 and 14 not atound the playground as mapa had......long shor story, we were in the wrong spot.. PS: Not smell on the bathroom or the water. it has a open center area , but the sides are well soround it by trees.
