We had the GREATEST time at Walnut Creek Resort. It was the PERFECT little get away for my family of 4. About 50 yards from the boathouse and gorgeous views right outside our window. The weather, water and service was perfect! Quiet and safe area. Definitely going into our rotation of places to go.
We really like this place. Had a great spot on the lake for our 32ft rv with all the hook ups. The grassy area was a lot of fun to play football with the kids as well. Kids caught their first far out here as well. That was a nice surprise 😮. The sunrise 🌅 and sunsets are beautiful here. If you have a boat this is an easy place to drop off as well.
Not geared towards young families, park didn't have security or friendly staff walking the grounds, the RV asphault slip was crumbling, grills were VERY close to the trailers, which was a fire hazard!! Office staff was friendly, but RV weekender sites felt like an after-thought or completely forgotten about when they built the park. Website pics didn't match the true scenery either, which was also disappointing.
This place is very nice. It’s a little odd at first as there’s a mobile Home park in the middle of it but then you realize that it’s just all people who want to live on the lake and I think that’s awesome! Spot right on the lake. Water and electric. Super friendly owners. I don’t know if I’d love it as much if it were fully packed as the spots are very close to one another but we were the only ones there so it was perfect. I could totally see going with a few friends and getting spots next to each other though. That’d be a blast. The grounds are very uneven so plan for that but overall I really enjoyed it here and will be going back for sure. Awesome weekend getaway!
They cleaned mostly what they expected people to use/ see. The AC and the filter was very dirty and mildewy. The top of the fridge where the TV sat was greasy. Pillows were veryyyy gross looking. We had left our personal ones there by accident so we went back to get them. The cleaning lady tried to pass the gross ones to us so she could use our clean and decent ones for the cabin! She knew what she did obviously, because ours were in different cases than the cabin. The remote was also still pretty greasy as well. The TV satellite was out pretty much the whole time. Decently friendly place but everything else was not good. During this pandemic it could have used a much better cleaning. And the lady even told us they changed check in time to have MORE time to clean.
