We were leaving Cincinnati Ohio and wanted to knock down about three hours of travel time for us so we decided to book a overnight layover site here. It is very conveniently off the interstate reasonably priced the lady that welcomes you is super friendly and happy to help you, they are pool through spots for big units. My unit is about 65 feet long with Truck. They have power they have water. They have sewer level so I didn’t have to unhook. I just lifted weight off the truck. It’s off the interstate you don’t hear the noise I would recommend this place sleep for a layover to catch some sleep for your next journey.
A quiet and beautiful wooded setting. Friendly and helpful staff and resident campers.
We stayed here while on a travel nurse assignment, it was affordable and had plenty of space to walk around and play with your dogs! The workers here are always willing to answer any questions and help you if you need it. It was nice that they had an area for the people staying longer term. We felt welcomed here and would definitely come back if we were ever in the area! The only complaint we had was how the sites are in the back area for the long stays. When leaving and maneuvering your trailer it isn't always easy to get in and out and it seems as though the sites are facing a Strange direction making it hard to exit, especially since so many people park multiple vehicles in the way. This was the only complaint we had and heard from others as well! We had a great time here and would definitely recommend this place to stay.
Walnut Meadow is a Godsend after a long day of travel. We stayed here for one night in July 2024 on our way home to Canada from Florida after another park had hit capacity, and we are so glad we did. Humble, clean, quiet and the staff were so helpful. Meghan on the phone was a delight, and Sam, who met us for a late check in to guide us to our site. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we’ll be back!
Drive up to the STOP sign, call the Office, and a Guide will escort you to your site. Popular, so call ahead. Clean, quiet, fairly priced, big rig, small rigs, tents; they welcome all. Laundry and bathrooms with showers. This is not a "destination resort", but it "is" a quiet, safe, restful place to recoup or cross paths with friendly travelers you saw last time and catch up. Love staying with them in the summer, but no where we'd rather be when Old Man Winter comes calling.
