Stayed here many times over the years and have always enjoyed it. Very good fishing and a peaceful place to camp.
I love Wapacoma Campground!! I've have meet alot of really wonderful people there!! Always look forward to heading back each year.
Wapocoma Campground is family oriented. It's in the country. You can go for walks, hikes, swim in the river. Bring your 4 legged furbabies with you, as they're most welcome. Make sure you bring cash or check to pay your site fee, as they don't accept credit cards. Also, bring some DVDs as we could only pickup 2 channels and not very well. No wifi and some people with us had trouble receiving phone calls. So if you're looking for peace and quiet and want some downtime for wifi, it's the place for you. One thing I'll say about getting to the campground is part of Rt. 50 has some 7 to 9% grades with twists and turns. So make sure you have good brakes and it's only a 2 lane road in parts.
Wonderful place to camp... you've got the River to swim or float, plenty of activities . Campground is clean and friendly . Love it here, come back every year!
We visited on a Monday/Tuesday in the first week of May and enjoyed a peaceful couple of days near the river. Our full hookup grassy site was mostly level and stayed firm during a light rain. The grass was neatly mowed and for the most part the dirt roads throughout the CG were in good condition. Most of the sites are narrow without much space between. We had plenty of elbow room since there were no campers on either side of our site 21. Early in the season and midweek the CG was quiet, but it’s evident that camping would be crowded on summer weekends. The bathrooms were locked when we checked; there is no laundry available; water pressure was moderate. Cell service with Verizon and T-Mobile was 2 bars from time to time, but spotty. The CG offers wifi that worked well for us, but the pleasant woman who checked us in warned that during crowded times service is weak.
